Q: How much does membership cost?  
A: Our members contribute according to their ability. We have several suggested levels, but no one is turned away.

Compassion Sponsor - $50 per month or $600 annually
Compassion Sponsors make it possible for others to participate who may be unable to
contribute financially. In addition to supporting their own membership. Sponsors help fund
services, activities, and outreach for neighbors experiencing financial hardship.

Community Supporter - $25 per month or $300 annually
Community Supporters help sustain the day-to-day operations of A Caring Place and
strengthen the network of compassionate connections that allows older adults and people
with disabilities to remain active and engaged in their communities.

Neighbor Support Level - $12.50 per month or $150 annually
This reduced contribution level is available for individuals living on a limited income
who wish to support the mission while remaining active participants in the community

Pay What You Can - A Caring Place is committed to ensuring that financial circumstances never prevent
participation. If the suggested support levels are beyond your means, we simply ask that you
contribute what you can afford. 

Q: Who is eligible to join?
A: Anyone who is over 50 or disabled and living in Fayette County is eligible for membership.

Q: What is the service area?
A: We are an interfaith-based non-profit located in the beautiful Blue Grass area of Kentucky.  Our ministry is to reach out to the elderly and disabled who are socially isolated in our community and mitigate or prevent the adverse impact of loneliness. Our goal is to establish a Neighborhood Social Hub in every district of Lexington - Fayette Urban County Government (LFUCG). Our pilot Neighborhood Social Hub is located in the Beaumont Park -  Gardenside area of Lexington.

A: fill out a Volunteer Application and someone will be in touch to complete the volunteer application process.

Q: What is the Village to Village To Village Movement?
A: The Village Movement is an innovative grassroots movement that coordinates critical services for older adults.  Villages are one of the most promising options to cope with the upcoming “Aging-in-Place” dilemma.  The Village Movement began in 1999 with a group of older adults who wanted to live in their own homes while staying engaged in social activities within their neighborhood.
